Nueces County Judge Loyd Neal Endorses Bech Bruun For Congress In District 27

150 150 Bruun for Congress

“As the first Republican elected Nueces County Judge in over 140 years and as a former Mayor of Corpus Christi who has served this region for the better part of three decades, I care deeply about our county and state as I enter my final year of elected public service.

That is why, for the first time in my career, I am making an endorsement in a contested Republican primary. Friends, the stakes for our community are just too high. I want to leave my post knowing that our next Congressman is one who truly understands the needs of this community, especially one who understands the importance and impacts of Naval Air Station – Corpus Christi and the Corpus Christi Army Depot.

That’s why I am endorsing Bech Bruun. It’s not just that Bech grew up right down the road from these military installations and that his family roots in Corpus Christi run deep, I have watched Bech progress throughout his career from Chief of Staff to State Representative Todd Hunter to the Chairman of the Texas Water Development Board. That’s why I know he has the right experience to carry this region forward to economic prosperity it has never known. Lest you think I’m not serious, this Proud Texas Aggie is endorsing a Texas Longhorn in the race for Congressional District 27 because Bech is the right man for the job.”

“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of the first Republican elected Nueces County Judge in over 140 years and by such a dedicated public servant in Loyd Neal. I look forward to representing all of Congressional District 27 with the same dedication as our County Judge has done in Corpus Christi as well as Nueces County over the course of his distinguished career in public service,” said Bech Bruun.
