“Water is one of the most important issues facing our state. That statement sure rings true for Matagorda County. Just ask any of our farmers who saw their water supply suspended in recent years thanks to drought. In the upcoming election, Matagorda County has an opportunity to elect a person who has been a leader for the state on the issue of water.
Not only has he been a leader on the issue, he has delivered results for both Wharton and Matagorda Counties through his efforts in the development of the new Arbuckle Reservoir currently under construction along the Colorado River in Lane City. Bech led the financing effort that resulted in millions of dollars in costs savings, thus helping bring the vital project to fruition. Experience and results, that’s why I’m endorsing Bech Bruun and look forward to continuing to work with Bech on the federal level to ensure a secure and lasting water supply for Matagorda County.” – State Rep.
